About Minh Ky Restaurant | Chinese

Located at 4644 El Cajon Blvd #101, San Diego, CA 92115, Minh Ky Restaurant | Chinese operates as a chinese restaurant serving San Diego in California. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 am–8 pm. Note that it does not open on Wednesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Minh Ky Restaurant | Chinese at (619) 283-4180; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 704 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese restaurant in San Diego and suggests consistent service.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Just a no frills and solid chinese/viet fusion diner. I've heard great things but tbh when I went it was just okay. Nothing went wrong but I wouldn't go out of my way for it Chow fun: Maybe get? I love me a good chow fun and this dish satisfied my craving... but just barely. Wonton noodle soup: Getttt So comforting and yummy. The only downside is that the entire bowl only has 2 wontons so that was very disappointing especially if you share it family style Parking lot is small but it wasn't full when we went. And service was friendly but nothing fancy. Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Atmosphere: 6/10 Value: 6/10

07/20/26 Food & Price: They offer the best duck noodles ($13.50), dumpling soup ($13.75), and wonton soup you can find in town. They also have a large selection of other dishes on the menu, all at reasonable prices. That said, the iced coffee ($4.25) was not as satisfying as I remembered. Service: The service is quick and attentive. For example, when a staff member saw me walking around other tables looking for pickled jalapeños, she came over right away to ask what I needed. That was excellent service. Parking & Tips: Parking can be difficult at times. I suggest parking in a nearby lot and walking over. Enjoy!

Locally known as 明记面家, it’s a Vietnamese-Chinese fusion noodle shop. It’s located further south, so lunchtime is recommended—traffic is always heavy here in the evening. Hidden in the Little Saigon area of City Heights, this humble eatery has stood the test of time thanks to loyal regulars, consistent great taste, and solid value for money. They specialize in Cantonese and Vietnamese-style noodles: classic wonton noodles, Vietnamese beef noodle soup, and Southeast Asian stir-fried noodles. Broths are slow-simmered with pork bones and dried flounder, paired with house-made thin egg noodles that have a nice springy texture and wheat aroma. Highly recommend the Sate Beef Rice Noodle, Sate Beef Tripe with Turnip Dry Noodles, and roast duck. Portions are generous, affordable, and the restaurant is clean and tidy. A top pick for noodle lovers!

Fantastic Vietnamese Chinese food! Very very nice workers, very clean and the food was soooo delicious! Hole in the wall location but they take pride in everything they do and make. Got the meat egg rolls holy moly they were crispy and delicious. Lemon grass chicken #83 was our favorite. Watch out for the jalapenos they got a kick (which I love). Also got the #84 Mongolian pork which was slightly sweet but the side of peppers and jalapenos took care of that. Great sized portions about two meals maybe more per serving. Love this place and when I'm in the area I'm stopping by. They had a firecracker shrimp special that I didn't see before ordering but that's next on the list!

Hole in the wall Chinese food. Nuff said. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it still feels the same today as it did back then. It's a small, cramped Chinese/ Vietnamese restaurant with a lousy parking lot. Service is minimal but the new staff friendly enough. There was auntie in the corner speaking loudly on her FaceTime call while making dumplings. Felt just like home. There are about 10 tables inside and the menu has a variety of Chinese inspired dishes. The must get here is definitely the egg noodles with wonton and char sui. We tried the specialty honey walnut shrimp and it was a let down. Soggy shrimp with very little sauce. The fried chicken leg was crispy and savory and the fried rice was very yummy. Definitely recommend these 2 dishes and the egg noodles! Overall this place offers a lot of value, but I would stick with the fried rice or noodles dishes. Good lucking finding parking!
